This weekend was a huge weekend for New Jersey wrestling fans. The two best New Jersey programs at both the high school and college levels faced off against one another.
At the high school level, nationally ranked Bergen Catholic squared off against perennial powerhouse Paulsboro at the University of Pennsylvania's Palestra. The Crusaders were too much for the Raiders, winning ten out of fourteen matches and coming away with a 41-15 victory.
In college action, Rutgers overcame Princeton at the RAC. The two split matches, but the Scarlet Knights scored two crucial major decisions. Anthony Ashnault handled #1 ranked Matthew Kolodzik 10-2, and in the final match, Christian Colucci picked up the major to clinch the team victory by one point.
