Taking it back to an era when Division III wrestlers were allowed to compete in the Division I national championships.
Three-time NCAA DIII champions Ken Mallory of Montclair State and Jim Weir of John Carroll lead the list of the best DIII wrestlers of the 1970s.
Weir was a two-time NCAA DI All-American, and Mallory won a DI national title.
Four-time All-American and NJ native Mike Rossetti of Trenton State (now TCNJ) won two DIII national titles.
