In 1995, Pat McGrath became the first two-time medalist to win a state title.
Three-time medalist and state champion Vinnie Salek accomplished the same feat eight years later.
Frankie Edgar went on to become a UFC champion, and Richie Lewis became the first American to win gold at the U23 Freestyle World Championships.
Two-time NJ state medalist AJ Meyers added a medal to the list in 2017 with his fifth place finish.
